EP Out Now
Roisin O’Hagan, 24, is a singer-songwriter from Essex, UK, who has been writing, performing and releasing music since she was 12 years old. As an independent artist, Roisin has supported Chris Shiflett (Foo Fighters) on tour, performed for Whispering Bob Harris and BBC Introducing and been named a Fender Undiscovered Artist finalist.
Roisin has spent 2022 writing and recording in Nashville and Edinburgh and releasing singles from her new EP ‘Dreamstate’. While working on the EP in Nashville, Roisin spent time co-writing with published songwriters on Music Row and recording in studios, including John McBride’s prestigious Blackbird Studio. She collaborated on the recording and production process with top session musicians to create a collection of songs lyrically inspired by her early twenties and sonically influenced by her musical heroes Counting Crows, Taylor Swift, Tom Petty, Sheryl Crow and Bruce Springsteen.
Out now, ‘Dreamstate’ features four singles, which all consecutively featured on Record of the Day, and an additional track, ‘Smoke Stain’. Drenched in a dreamy soundscape of country, pop and rock, the EP bursts with a lust for life, growth, love and the things that inspire Roisin as both an artist and a young woman. A collection of authentic, often romantic and at times melancholic stories, ‘Dreamstate’ invites you into the musings, lessons learned and passions ignited in the course of a young artist with big dreams growing into a woman discovering life and love.
